Purple Onion Catering is owned and operated by Chef Stephen Mondale and his wife Hopi.

Stephen has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, through working with top restaurants, hotels, and catering companies. He completed the Culinary Arts program at Johnson & Wales University with honors, as well as Hospitality Management and Business. Mrs. Mondale is an accomplished cake designer and Pastry Chef and serves as our Executive Sales Director. Hopi recently has been given the honor of receiving the "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" Award by the SBA.

Purple Onion Catering opened its doors in August of 1998. Since then, the company's reputation has grown to become a permanent, trusted fixture among Denver's top full-service catering companies. Our goal is to first provide our customer with the utmost in quality of both product and service. Secondly, we strive to establish and maintain a close relationship with every client we work with. We pinpoint the need of each individual and consistently meet or exceed the expectation.
